Time To Leave

Embraced by only the silence, Time ebbs away into nothing, There is no need left to speak, The truth holds no meaning, My lies lay now discarded, Even I will not be remembered, And as I stare into the ink, Alone in my own reflection, I feel it is only time to leave,
Each moment as it passes,
Even loneliness has its price, A due to be paid in good time, The burden upon my conscience, No mercy will be for me, As I have such a debt now to pay, And as I stare into the ink, Alone in my own dreams, I feel it is only time to leave,
All the roads I have wandered, Further away with every step, There is nothing now to find, No one awaiting my return, Freedom along the horizon, Nothing left for me to carry on, And as I stare into the ink, Alone in my own memory, I feel it is only time to leave,
The days blur into the nights, Warmth fades to cold, My youth pass away to age, Sand through the hourglass, The relentlessness of time, For me it has come then gone, And as I stare into the ink, Alone in my own tomorrow, I feel it is only time to leave.
