Beyond

Beyond the shadows I have seen,  All the days that I was once to live,  What joys once to be discovered,  In the days I had once longed to be,  For all the nights my heart desired, 

Through the mists of forgotten dreams,  Deja vu haunts my memories,  As all that once was fades away,  With the passing of empty years,  I lived only a lie of fate conspired, 

Either side of the coin be damned,  The dice now a worthless throw away,  Fortunes to the frivolities of wasting time,  Where even losing feels the same,  A meaningless tale I transpired.
