The Silence Echoes

The silence echoes, 

Deeper into the still, 

Into the forever, 

A cascade of misery, 

Rises a deathly tide, 

Waves in their crash, 

Beneath the moon, 

Through the shadows, 

Of memories lost, 

Forgotten in their drift, 

Embers in the wind, 

Flicker to the storm, 

Flurry a dying light, 

Onward over the stone, 

Hushed in their fall, 

That rain of tears, 

Flows in the quiet dark, 

As though it were sand, 

Through the hourglass, 

Streaming over glass, 

Like a bleeding flow, 

From the torn, 

Frayed ends of destiny, 

Weeping before the dawn, 

Darkness of demise, 

Haunting of the soul, 

Blurred among the dreams, 

While even the beautiful, 

Wonder now the nightmare, 

Tears like lurid screams, 

Away at the blinded, 

Lost in their wander,
