Beneath the August sun, In one moment in time, All there is to feel, A warmth of a memory, Of a time I miss still,
Beneath the August sun, In a memory I find, A moment beyond, The last of the cold, Of lost Winter’s chill,
Beneath the August sun, In the rush of time, As it drifts in the light, A voice in the echo, Of a promise to fulfil,
Beneath the August sun, The flowers are more, Than their colours, More than memories, Of someone desired still,
Beneath the August sun, The misery of November, Fades away in the sky, Like tears in the rain, Of a May’s dreadful chill,
Beneath the August sun, I remember to hope, The I can be once more, Than time now forgotten, Of a destiny to fulfil,
Beneath the August sun, Though the wind turns cold, I can stand upon the stone, And face another tomorrow, Of a promise I believe still,
Beneath the August sun, I can see the road ahead, Winding through tomorrow, And feel the touch of hope, Of a warmth no misery can chill,
Beneath the August sun, I can remember a dream, A mountain to climb, So I may take hold, Of all that destiny is to fulfil
